My husband and I began farming in 1985. We started with rice and commercial cattle. The cattle eventually changed to Registered Santa Gertrudis cattle and then we added show dogs into the mix. My love of the terrier breeds led me to the Miniature Schnauzers, which I have been raising for about 15 years now. They have excellent champion pedigrees and temperaments. Our next addition to the farm was due to my husband's love for the Boer goat. With our grandson coming of age to start showing animals, we decided to start raising Boer goats for him to show. My daughter and I have since been working on building our herd of quality show goats with the main goal being to raise show quality wethers and breeding stock.
